Cold Air VS Short Ram
Ok, Cold air intakes give you more horsepower than short ram. But what if you live in areas with a lot of rain and dust? Would it be smarter to get the short ram? Would more air get into the engine with the short ram because of the short intake hose? Finally, do these intakes give you better or worse gas mileage?

yes cai's give more hp than short rams (cai = top end power), rain - you can get a bypass valve or a short ram intake. if it rains a lot, i would get sri. more breathing = better gas mileage (that is if you don't decide to gun it at every stoplight)

cai all the way. even if you live in an area where it rains a lot, as long as you dont drive through a BIG/DEEP puddle, you will be fine. you are not going to hydrolock just cuz the filter is wet.
and don't get the bypass valve. it ONLY works if the entire filter is submerged in water.

Re: (Matgallis)
I think that a shot ram intake would probably be worse than stock. The short ram air sucks in the hot engine bay air, as apposed to stock or a CAI. Get a cold air of modify stock
