coil caught on fire today!
Wow today was a nightmare. Today I drove to the bay area and back..to sacramento about 220 miles round trip. On the way home I stopped in traffic. I started to take off from a stand still in traffic then my car just died. I barely got it over and when I popped the hood. The wire from the dist. To the coil was just like laying on my intake. But the first thing I noticed was the wire boot was detached and still on the coil. IT WAS ON FIRE!. So I blew it out like the big bad wolf. And I was like mannn what did I do now? So check it. Yesterday I posted a topic about my car after I installed the msd 6a box and blaster 2 coil. And how my car bogged and felt like it wasn't gettin a good steady connection it would basicly hesitate when I accelerated. So I took it off and now everything is back to stock. They only thing I can think of is that I didn't put the wire on correctly to the coil. Do you guys have any idea? I pluuged the wire in taped it down to get it home and it idles at like 1100 rpms ??

Please help. I drove my car today with a new coil wire. It runs terrible it idles at 1300 rpms at one point it was revving up and then dropping when I was in neutral. I don't know what to do at all? I have a 96 prelude with a obd2 to obd1 conversion and p13 ecu from a 93-95 prelude can anyone help?

How long did you have the MSD system on your car before this started to happen?
Have you tried removing the system and putting it back on? Or take the MSD system off and put the stock one back in to see if that is the problem.
