Check Engine light is on. I smell fumes.
I just installed a new header and full cat back exhaust system into my 01 prelude. Now the check engine light is on and I can smell fumes when im driving. My brother told me I need new O2 sensors but is there anything else I will need to turn off the check engine light?? And what is up with the fumes I'm smelling. Do the bolts just need to be tightened or is there something else I am missing??
Thanks
Thanks

this may sound retarted, but did you put the gaskets where they go???
and did the check engine light start right after you changed your exhuast?
if it did try restarting the ECU and see if it comes up again.

Yeah the gaskets should all be on correctly. And yes this came on after I changed the exhaust.
How do I reset the ECU??
Also what about the exhaust fumes I'm smelling??

You need to pull the cel out of your ecu. Too bad your obd2 lol (snicker snicker)
Its gotta be your O2 sensor. The fumes is from you running rich by the sounds of it, and If all you have done is the exhaust, than you might have messed up your O2 sensor.
Did you have any problems removing the O2 sensor? They are very fragile so chances are it got buggered up with the exhaust removal. Jack your car up and give your O2 sensor a visual inspection. Check the wires, and quick connector for bent pins or broken/exposed wires.
My O2 sensor was siezed in and I had to break it to get it out. I tried a bunch of penetrants too, but no dice. Now I got a piece of shiet bosh... Woe is me.....
