Default check engine light

How can I reset the check engine light on my 2001 prelude? I have taken to the dealer twice and both times it is the gas cap. ($80) to have the darn light to be turn off by the dealer!

buy a code reader from your local auto parts store. you can get one for like 40$. It will tell you what code it is throwing and you can reset as well

Take it to autozone and use their scan tool and erase it. Or disconnect your battery for a second

did you check your codes? if you have a 4th gen, jump the connector behind the radio and check your code. if the problems solved, reset the ecu or jus disconnect the battery
