Any oil recomendations?
My prelude has over 28,000 miles on it. Right now I'm using Castrol Syntec Blend. I've been using it for a while and I'm thinking about switching to a full synthetic. Do you guys have any recomendations? Are there benefits to using one oil over another? I don't know much about oil, such as what is the difference between 5w10 or 10w30 , so some terminology is pretty foreign to me. I appreciate any help given.

Re: Any oil recomendations? (Prelude Vtec 23)
its all about what you perfer , to me and my mechanic, all sunthetic blend really isnt worth the money if you change your oil every 3000 miles depending on driving conditions. i use castrol gtx 5w 30 lighter oil then 10w 30. its all in the weight of the oil hence 5 W 30 and 10 W 30 or 5 W 20 etc etc

Re: Any oil recomendations? (4bidden)
Most name oils are quite good. The newer Mobil 1 synth does not seem to be as well liked as prior Mobil 1 synthetics. I've personally had good results from Valvoline semi-synth in cars, and I've heard good things about Havoline's synthetic lines. Redline and Amsol both are well thought of. If you change your oil every 3K miles, I'd say stick w/ semi-synth of some flavor, esp. if your car uses some oil. I'd also recommend 5W30 considering your climate.
