Default Alignment on a lowered car

How does everyone with an Eibach Pro Kit get their car alignment done?

I don't have the specific springs you have, but my car is lowered. And I've never had any problems getting it aligned anywhere around here. I usually go to NTB because they have a 5000mi/60mo warranty on alignments, so I can usually get it aligned at least twice for the price of one.

Note that there is no camber or caster adjustment on the Prelude, so they only thing that they can correct is the toe settings.

I'm dropped 2.25 inches on H&R race springs and I was still within spec(barely). The only reason that I went in to get an alignment was because I knocked the toe out taking a corner too hard and hitting a reflector dome.

According to helms, everything is adjustable including caster by using shims. With a lowered car though you can only correct so much camber unless you get a camber kit.

when you drop a car the toe comes inside. Just go to any local shop that has the machine for alignments.

Just for example. i would do 5000kms to a set of tires. now i'll do 20-30

actually lowering changes camber..

looking at a tire front the front or back of a car and camber would look like / / or \ \
looking at a tire from above or below and toe would look like this / / or \ \

also, ive found that most alignment places dont like to do lowered cars, or charge more for it. ive had two places now that couldnt get my car up on the ramp..

yes but you cant change the camber without a camber kit on a honda. Plus it will rub. Just adj the toe and you will get so much more life out of your tires. I ride my car slammed so it made a huge diffrence for me

i fail to see how lowering our cars with the double wishbone suspension changes toe and caster.

Since you fail to see the issue-please read the articles on both the Ingalls and SPC websites on the subject. Also note that any time you disassemble a suspension there is a strong chance that you will change the settings. Minute changes in either toe-in or Caster cannot be seen but have a real impact on handling for some cars.

This is not a flame-I do think reading will help you better understand how the relationship of the position of parts affects a car.

To go along with that, here is what alignment did for me...not too much obviously.

looks like you're missing a washer on the front right tie rod...

also, If I remember correctly my toe went out, not in, when my car got dropped.

It cost me like $30 at Honda for an alignment, but I'm sure if you look around you could probably find it for cheaper. If you are looking into camber kits, check into Ingalls. Here is a site that shows the prices of these camber kits. Check it out: http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/ingalls.htm. How much is your car dropped?

#1, thanks everyone for all the responses.

#2, Where the hell do you live? LOL I want to move where ever you are that a 4 wheel alignment cost only $30. Here in Philly, from the Honda dealer, it runs me $69.99 plus additional because it is lowered. LOL

#3, I am putting on a full Inglas camber kit. Should be able to fix everythiing and hopefully get all measurments to dead zero.

Again, thanks to all
