i have the same problem, and i actually asked honda while I was in there today... he said that its on a spline so you can disconnect it and reinstall it a few teeth inward so it doesnt happen... havent tried it yet because its raining where I am!
let me know what happens

I had the same problem.

I took the wiper arm off from where it bolts under the hood. Then reinstalled it with the wiper blade laying a little further down the window than it was before and it's worked fine since.

it didn't always do this, it just started after the winter here on long island. it goes all the way down like it always did but once my windshield is wet they slam back and forth. is it possible that the motor is turning them too hard. it hits so hard i think i see the wiper bounce.

Mine started during the winter, I tried to use them to remove too much snow accumulation from my windshield and they got all out of wack.

My driver side wiper actually ended up getting stuck vertically against the trim around the windshield in a snow storm, that was not a fun experience.

Note to self: remove as much snow as possible before trying to let the weak windshield wipers and motor do it.

yeah, wipers are on splines. pull bolt and wiper off. rotate wiper arm a few degrees higher up on your windshield, than put back into splines of motor actuator. put bolt back. my body man did same when he took them off. the wipers came down, wacked the hood, and caused him to have to respray my hood, the dum dum
