Default 92 prelude si h23a idle problem

ok so my idle has been surging from about 1k to 1.6k for a while now and i've had it... i took off the IACV and cleaned it and put back on but no use..I also took off the intake and covered the bottom hole and the surging didnt stop..but it did when i covered the top hole? idk what that means..also it'll stop the surging when i unplug the sensor so im assuming the sensor is bad? any advice is helpful. thanks in advance

read through the faq. A list is there of commen problems that cause idle surge. If the surging didn't stop when you covered the bottom hole in the tb it is not your fitv.

so I'm in need of some guidance here I have an 88 Prelude with the dual carbs it idles fine until you touch the accelerator then it will stick around 2500 rpm till you flick the pedal , cable is free and adjusted correctly , linkage not binding , then when I'm driving it will hang around 3800 -4000 r's
