I dont think it would scrape but WTH are you doing some off road-hill climb event?...why would you want to get bigger tires?

ROFL offroading prelude. someone gave me the tires and they have like 85% tread. Seems like a waste if I don't use them.

Yeah, burn 'em up. People use taller tires than that (some people with 17's, 18's, etc.)

did you notice a notch (on the arm?) on back rear tire, getting close to the tread.

good to hear. Yeah I have plenty of clearance on the wheel well. But the bar next to the spring has a notch that juts out. It looks to be about 1.5 inch from the tread. I'm wondering if I hit a bump if my tire hits that notch

my mate runs 215-40-17s on his 4th gen, i dont recall him complaining of bad tyre rub problems at any point. i run the same size on my 3rd gen, and they rub like hell...

Do you mean the pointless-looking notch on the steering knuckle? That's an unsprung component and it doesn't move relative to the wheel.

i dont remember the exact size, but it was something like yours, might even have been 70 series. i got them free when i was in a bind once. they worked and didnt rub, but looked like balloon tires, lol.

im currently runnin 225 50 15 with a good drop and they work. they say for every 10 up on width you have to go down 5 on hight to be as tall. so mine would same hight as 205 60 15's, and im dropped a good bit, so u should be fine

edit: btw it will throw your speedo off a little. i think u will be going slightly faster then it reads
