My friend recently totaled his 2003 bmw 330ci. He's parting it out, and I'm thinking of snagging the HID housings (for free ). My question is...would they fit into the 4th gen prelude's 1 piece headlights?

They look like they'd either fit perfectly or be too big. Anybody have any input on this?

The projectors off of the BMW are fairly large, no? I'm sure you can cut the JDM housing to fit the projector in them but it may be like fitting a fat person in one airplane seat.. tight fit. You could always sell them and get smaller projectors off of a different car.


on a side note.. do you come by darcars nissan? I work in service and I see a red gen.4 vtec drive by there once in a while.

Yeah, that's probably me. Is it rediculously loud? I've got holes in my exhaust piping.

I'm thinking of trying to cram them in and if that doesn't work, trading them for A4 projectors off ebay.

Does your friend have titanium trim in the car instead of wood grain? If so, would he be willing to trade my wood grainplus some cash for his Ti trim??

How are the wheels??

The wheels are in good condition. Slight curbing on the passenger side wheels.

The interior trim is wood, though.

I've heard of people swapping E46 HID's into JDM headlights so it is possible. I am just not sure how much work is required.

I have a 2001 325ci. I REALLY want titanium trim. Oh well. Thanks for letting me know.

I MIGHT be interested in the guage cluster, particularly the silver rings around the guages. If you hear him saying he wants to sell it, let me know how much.

I'm trying to coax him into buying it back from the insurance. At the very least, I want him to pull the HID housings off so I can have them. I'll try to get him to snag those ring thingies too.

Check in the for sale sections in the forums. Theyre for sale pretty often. We got it for about $450 for our X5 from another member on X5world. Bimmerforums, bimmerfest, and e46world have are big. Look there.

I'm looking for that dude's HID retrofit DIY...I can't seem to find it. It's not in the FAQ, and I can't seem to get it in the search either. It was a walkthrough with pictures for retrofitting projectors into 4th gen JDM housings..I think by akhany. Anybody have a link to it?

They will fit. I fit BMW E46 Bi-xenon's into my 1-piece headlights. Pm me if you need any info
