Default My Isle of Man TT trip

Just got back yesterday, after being stuck in O'Hare Airport overnight The trip was awesome though! Been on my bucket list for years. Highly recommended if you are at all into motorcycles. I'd like to rent bikes next time to ride the course myself on the off days.

A few of the better videos I took with my phone:

Sidecars from the bottom of Bray Hill

Senior Class, where John McGuinness destroyed the lap record, from Ballaugh Bridge. Second vid is after they restarted due to a crash.

A few pics. I will add more as we upload more of them.

The second video is where this happened on a previous year. You are recording from the other side of the street. Crazy insane place. I wonder how much longer they will have this race.

I had heard about that but had not seen the footage. That is one of the reasons we were watching from the other side. We were afraid they would have moved the barrier way back in response to that crash. Standing there in person, I was having a hard time figuring out how someone would manage to crash into that building.

Those guys have nuts the size of basketballs. Such a crazy dangerous race course.

The rest of the vids I took. Most of these aren't as good, because I was still figuring out how I wanted to shoot the bikes going by.

Next stop on my bucket list is Pikes Peak. Wish I could have made it before they paved the whole thing though.

It was a bit of a sausage fest, so it did live up to its name.

TT is always great. You should have popped over our way, you were only a few hundred miles off! :D

Wow, I'm jealous! I want to check that race out someday.

With pretty much every type of racing from World Rally to F1, I say to myself....I could do that after some practice. I just lack the funds.

But with Isle of Man TT....nope. Even though I consider myself a pretty good rider with track experience, I couldn't get to 10% of what they do. Its simply nuts.

Haha, we actually went to Ireland last year, but we never made it up to Northern Ireland unfortunately.

We thought about flying into Dublin for this trip, but ended up finding the best prices flying into Edinburgh.

Yep, even The Doctor himself admires the cojones of TT riders:

Cool... definitely something I'd like to see one day. I didn't watch all the vids, but you had some nice pans in that Senior Class pt2 vid.

Thanks. The Youtube features that remove shakiness helped quite a bit too.
