Default i need a cold weather helmet (anti fog)

I have a problem with my shield fogging up. when its real cold where i get ice on the inside of the shield, I end up riding with it open which really isn't as bad as it sounds... Ive seen snow mo helmets out there that come with a double pain shield but they all look like P.O.S. is there a decent helmet out there that has a double shield as a option? Or perhaps another solution to the fog.

Doesn't Scorpion always have those ad's that emphasize anti-fog shields? http://www.scorpionusa.com/tec....html

1) Fog City fog shield insert, or 2) use one of those Respro Foggy mouth/face/nose guards to direct your breath downwards, or 3) anti-fog spray/product.

I chose (1) over (2) because the 2nd one doesn't prevent my eyes from fogging up the visor. Also, the way the nose clip holds onto your nose vibrates/buzzes at speed, which makes me feel like sneezing a lot. I haven't tried any types of (3), but I hear good ol' fashioned spit works well (spit, wipe, done).

I use the Fog City insert as well, and for the most part it works well. The only complaint i have about it is the astigmastism-type effect when riding at night. just something to consider...

If you get a Fog Shield, don't forget to check if the shield is for an Arai or all others. The Arais have the eyebrow vents that get in the way.

i currently use a breath shield and the rainx version of anti-fog stuff.

neither one helps my hot, moist and sexy breath from fogging my visor

LOL.

I also hear the spit thing works wonders. Haven't tried it, though.

for me, it's not that bad. i kinda just got used to it and adjusted to it. but for some of my friends who have astigmatism, the effect is multiplied.

but what really sucks is if it's raining on top of that.

I've been using a Scorpion EXO-700. I've ridden in temps down to 25 in it and NEVER had a fogging problem....I don't even use the breath deflector. My riding buddy has all sorts of problems with fogging in his ICON helmet. I know another guy with a Scorpion and he thinks that, after a year and a half of daily riding, the anti-fog doesn't seem to be as good as when new. Shields are only $30 so he might try that as a solution. As a side note, Scorpion sells a photochromatic shield that gets dark in the sunlight, but remains clear for night use.
PS - when I SCUBA dive, I spit in my goggles and rub it on the lenses, then do a very quick rinse....never fails to provide full time underwatta anti-fog action !

I use an anti-fog cloth I picked up at Alpine Meadows for my snowboard goggles last time I went snowboarding.

It works better than anything else I've ever tried.
