Default honda 2006 f4i - not start (red solid light and oil light blinking)

Here is the background. It's my girl's bike. She had a painted and we put everything back on, the tank and farings. It started fine. We decided to go for a ride. About ten miles later, the biked just died. It would not start again.
I noticed the oil light blinking and a solid red light on the instrument pannel. There is pleanty of oil in the bike too.
We took it back home, I charged the battery and even had the charger on while trying to start the bike. Nothing. Indicators light up and what not but it does not crank over.
I hear this loud clicking on the little box next to the battery. It hold the 30Amp fuse and it's not blown. The connection is tight as well. So, when I try to start, that box goes crazy clicking.
I did try to jump the bike with a 'running' car. Yes, I know now not to do that.
Now not sure where to take it from here. I am sure once I find the issue, it will be easy to fix.
I have the head light off as thought it was maybe the break angle sensor but that seems ok.
Any thoughts? Help.

cbr.net is not up, anyone have a copy of the manual? crzysurf at yahoo.

f4i's dont like to start without a headlight.
the loud clicking you hear is the starter relay.
check all the normal sensors kick stand, bank angle (should reset after a short time anyways).
is it turning over?
smell fuel?
hear the fuel pump priming?

on. yes, i was trying to start it with the head light off.
i'll put it on and try again.
i did get a new battery and the clicking is going away now off the relay that is next to the batter where the 30Amp fuse.
i did not hear the fuel pump prime when i tried to start it, but i had the head light off. i'll have to put the head light back on and try it.

any thought about the fuel pump? i see have the red solid light and the oil light still blinking.

thank you for our help

i think that if the headlight is off that the fuel pump will not prime so try that.
the oil light always stays on until the bike gets oil pressure (i.e. you actually start it) so dont worry about that.
so reattatch the headlight and start from there.

yeah, unless you bypass the bank angle sensor (which is on the headlight harness) the bike will not start.

Solution:
Well, it was a two part issue.
1. the battery would not hold a charge and had to get a new one.
2. when the tank got painted, some paint got onto the connectors and did not make a good connection with the fuel pump. thus, ended up cleaning that really well and making sure the connection was tight.
3. of course, had to put the head light (BAS) back on to start the bike.

turned the key and poof, i heard the fuel pump prime and the bike started.
thanks for your help.

side note, the sheitty part... my girl took it for a ride and then lowsided it about 1/4 mile away from the house. go figure. (cold tire and too much gas does not equate to a good time.)
