Default help - screwed up brake bleed on 05 zx6r

if anyone could help me out so i can have my rear brakes working again much thanks!

i had to bleed my brakes because i replaced the whole master cylinder & rearset. if i'm doing this correctly - loosen banjo bolt near master, then pump brake & watch for bubbles. tighten banjo brake while brake is pushed down then repeat from beginning. i've been doing this for 20min and gone through a can worth of fluid but the feel is still spongy. no firmness at all and no response from the rear brake. am i doing something wrong? pls help!

Yeah, you're doing it completely wrong. You dont bleed through the banjo bolt at all. There is a bleed nipple on the caliper. It is usually covered with a rubber cap. If you've been tightening and loosening that banjo bolt that many times, then you NEED to replace those copper washers with new ones. They can really only be tightened once. You'll also need a clear hose attached to the nipple so you can see the air bubble as you press on the brake. You bleed the exact same way you bleed a car. So search on brake bleeding in the rest of the forum. Hope that helps!

thanks!

the banjo bolt nearest to the MC has an eye on the side and bottom of it. i noticed that when i had it tightened all the way down the side eye wasn't aligning with the brake line, could this be why no fluid is coming out the nipple?
