Default Help, bike dies while riding then comes back on, K5 Gix 600

Ok, so the other night i was riding around, it was kind of cold out and the bike got down to about 165 cruising at about 70 down a desolate road in 6th gear, it started bucking, like i had bad gas, i pulled over, let the bike warm up, turned back around, headed home and it was fine running around 180degrees,

Now last night on was about to undertake a 2 hour road trip, had a fresh tank of gas, the bike was warm, 180-190 range...and i headed out. About 30 minutes into the trip the bike was running in the 170 range, nothing worth noting, and then it started bucking, i pulled the clutch in and revved the motor trying to get it to warm up thinking that me running without fairings was causing the bike to run colder than normal.

Well about a mile further down the road it bucked, and i looked down, all the lights stayed on, everything was fine, the speedo was working, but the tach went from 7k rpm's, to 0 and the bike died, and then it kicked back on all of a sudden...i got all my friends, pulled over, turned around then headed home.

On the way home i was trying things, it wouldn't do it if i was taching out a high gear, but when i go into 6th and am riding about 7k rpm's it just shuts off and then comes back on.

I have no clue where to begin?

Any help would be miraculous fella's...I've also posted this on gixxer.com in the 04/05 600 & 750 section, but we here on honda-tech know that H-T moves a bit quicker. Lol.

Well i've had more hits on gixxer.com...lol thats amazing, haha.

Nah i trust ht's knoweledge a little more.

So far i've got options of, the kickstand sensor, the battery connections loose, or the actually positive cable is damaged. So i dunno.

I'm pretty positive its an electrical gremlin somewhere.

Yeah thats what another guy on gixxer.com said. I mean, i checked the cable, it was a little loose...got maybe two 1/8th turns when i tightened the block down. So i dunno. Does what i'm describing sound like a loose bat. cable?

make sure your bank angle sensor is secure too. sometimes itll cut the bike off if it turns sideways a little.

Battery cable could be the culprit, although it might be something like a fuel hose. My Ducati is ornery when it has a full tank of gas in it, and will sometimes shut off if the revs aren't kept high enough. It bucks a lot too. You should try filling it halfway next time and see what happens.

If you're losing tach + motor, but lights are staying on, it's probably ignition related. Could be a bad part, like the trigger sensor, could be a bad ECU, or it could be a bad ground/connection.
