i own a 1998 cbr600 and im having a problem with the charging system. (of course)

im going to make this least painfull as possible.

-Bike kept dying, thought battery was bad.
-Replaced battery to have it die on me again.
-Clearly not charging battery.
-Checked rectifier regulator to find out its melted and broken to say the least, replaced with new one.
-Connector did not fit so i just bypassed the connector and put the cables on directly to the R/R.
-I forgot to disconnect the battery before i started and accidently hit the power and ground and got a small spark.
-Hooked up r/r and now when i turn the key i do not get any electric at all.
-I checked fuse box in front right near handle bars and all fuses are good.
-I heard there is a main fuse close to battery i will check that tomorrow any other ideas???????

Check your battery fuse.

I checked the main fuse 30a and that one is fine.
Checking on the 15a now... where is that located though?

I don't know where it is, I've never owned a CBR. Most fuses and stuff are in the tail section of sport bikes, so I'd poke my head in that area.

Did you know there are two 30A fuses? One's horizontal but that's not your main fuse. The main fuse is in the same plastic (rubber) structure but a little bit further back on the topside. Just behind the plastic connector you see. You might have to dismount the gastank.
