i think you're safe for now. the guy i heard that from majorly sucks at teh currency conversion.
british bike mags have it forecast at priced under 6000 quid, which is way more than 8 grand
i like the supermotardedness of it.

Everything costs more in the land of fish & chips due to the taxes they put on vehicles... if its £6000 over there, it will probably be $9-10k here. Just a guess. I'm still tempted... we'll see... I'm really afraid of their dealer/parts/service network. Probably best to let the market on them sort out for a year or two to see if there's any issues - its a new engine, not a Rotax thing right?

american dollar is worth crap. everything from uk is going to be an arm and a leg. i saw on the news that the british came to the us during the holidays just to shop because everything was almost 40% less here.

The story is that they break and parts are not in stock anywhere so you miss out on track days and the bike stays in your garage for 9 months because you break the sprag clutch off of your starter.

That is interseting - mine seems like enjoy starting up and parts taht are needed to maintenance it while running are minimal ie oil filters, sprockets, and chains
