first of all, where u live?
i have em both, and if you are planning to get this in the united states, its gonna be quite hard. well, to tell you the truth, you get what you pay for. there are NSR250R SE and even a SP out there, but its quite expensive. ive seen from 2500 all the way up to 8000.

It would be a.... id say dangerous starter bike to start with. Its quite different from any of the 4 strokes. To commute on the highway.... its POSSIBLE. but your back will probably start hurting. i tried this for 2 hours on a highway going about 100km/h, but i had to stop time to time cause my back ached.

120lbs eh? im in that range so size wise, i think its good.

a 250 is a great bike to start on, but like he said, I would be scared on a highway on a 250. It is a very light bike

Maybe try a 600, but better safe than sorry.

Hell, I **** on myself when the crosswinds are strong. And that's on a 600. Trailers are like Banshees. Shivers

250's seemed fine to me on highways but it all depends on how populated your area is. Here it's fine a lot of people here have 250's.

My thoughts exactly. I really notice the winds going 50mph on a street, I couldnt imagine on a 250

Its pretty scary especially on a motorcycle like a NSR and a TZR cause they are both VERY light. I only got on the highway once with my nsr, and it was too damn scary.
