2008 Fit tank capacity
New to the Form and had to regester after reading a lot of misinformation about the gas tank capacity.
The book is not even close to being factual for the tank.
Here's what I have measured many times.
From the E light to eng dead is 2.2 gals. I did this with a 1 gal jug of fuel, just to see, as part of a 600 mile run
The tank will take between 2.36 to 3.00 gals after the 1st auto shut off , till you can see gas in the fill neck. (filling like that is not recomended) I was testing.
Depending on the way the car is parked at the pump, the angle of the gas nozzel and the station, the fill will very a great deal using auto cut off.
The capacity from bone dry till you see gas in the neck is at least 13.5 gal
My last 2 fills have taken me over 700 miles @ around 55mpg

Honda doesn't include the space from the tank to the top of the neck as "fuel capacity" therefore I'm sure their rating of 10.5 or 10.8 (whichever it is in the manual) is accurate.
The light will also probably come on at different times for different cars. Fuel gauges are never accurate.

Tell'm like it is Paul. Welcome aboard assuming you are choosing to hang out for a while, however, there isn't much eco or Fit info on here of much interest to people like us.
