Default Fit Vs Civic

do you guys think that fit is a replacement of the old civic (90-00) and the new civic(01-new) is for older age people??

Is it true that fit has a good suspension set up?

do anyone know that if honda is going to make a si for fit?

just wondering

the fit and the civic are basically different classes.. i mean, what do you need? we needed a 4 door hatchback. there isn't a civic that can do that.. i don't think the fit really "fits" an age group because i see a lot of young AND old people driving them. people who want a small car, good room, and good gas mileage buy a fit.

the suspension setup isn't really desireable for performance driving, but like anything, it'll work. the one thing the fit has going for it is the light weight. civics have become just too big and heavy.

if they make an "Si" for the fit, it'll probably be called the "RS".. well, kinda. in other countries, the base fit has a 1.3l and the "Sport" has the 1.5. all we get is the 1.5, so the "Sport" trim is basically as close the Si as you can get for now. i don't see Honda making a true "Si" anytime soon.

My 06 Civic only got 28-30mpg. My Fit gets 30-32mpg avg with 44mpg best.

now a days, S2000 is the only way to go for sporty looks and fast.

Use to be, civic is light plus good handling and sporty looks but now is heavy and luxuary and ugly.

Too bad, honda is making that bad move.

All together though, is the fit a good reliable car?

Im looking to get one this summer and I know they have excellent gas mileage.

just wondering</TD></TR></TABLE>1) no. the 90-00 civic was for older age people too.

2) no. macpherson struts and an axle beam is not necissarily a good suspension setup for handling.

3) i dont think so, but i wish they would.

Yes, they are a great reliable car, my girlfriend has one, though they are very sluggish on the freeway, but it's like the HF, it gets great gasmilage, and very comfortable. It's definetly worth getting one with gas prices rising daily.

They are definetly different. The fit is like the old Civic Wagovan, but with an HF motor in it. haha Don't get my wrong they are great cars, very reliable, and great on gas. The new Civic I really like, but like everyone else has said, they are really heavy now, and alot bigger then they used to be. They should go back to the Mid 90's size. But thats just what I think.

I had an 07 civic coupe and traded it in for the fit, I like the fit way more... better mpg, more versitile, 4 doors. handles better, more mods available then the 8th gen civics. etc etc the list goes on. the only thing i miss from the civic is the moonroof and rear disc brakes
but i can add both of those if i really want.

do you miss the look of the rear disk brakes? because the electronic brake assist makes the pedal feel like its 4 corner disk.

as far as brake power goes, i thought the front brake setup is the same.
