I have an 07 Fit Sport AT with 55k on the clock.

Recently, I've noticed 2 things:

1) Sudden drop in MPG from city/hwy 34/36mpg to 29/30mpg
Note: driving pattern remains the same, new tires were put on however...Goodyear Eagle Responsedge. Could be the issue.

2) Sloshing noise coming from the dash board. When the car is cold and starts up, after acceleration and also usually after first stoplight I hear what sounds almost like water going through a hose. At first it was intermittent....now it seems to vary in volume but is more constant, even at idle. It's only audible inside the automobile. No clue what this could be.

Note: This is NOT the infamous "Fuel Sloshing" that happens on a full tank...that's a different sound and also audible outside the vehicle after parking, been there, done that...

Anybody else have this happen?

^^ the noise is the gas, because the gas tank is under the front seats..

there is a service bulletin, #08-096 gurgle from behind or under the dashboard. as per sevice bulletin:

A gurgling noise occurs behind or underneath the dashboard at idle, under light acceleleration, or during deceleration.

Air trapped in the heater core.

bleed the air from the cooling system.

Normal warranty applies. take it to your Honda dealer if you're still under warranty and give them the SB # for them to do.

Not the fuel tank....see my post above...I've heard about that problem over and over, and determined it's not the fuel slosh.

Rather, it's the SB on the heater core. I'm at the dealership right now actually. Good call!!
