What could be Wrong with my CRV? P1259 ,problem with Vtec?
Ever since I bought my 2003 honda crv 2.0 It didnt seem to have its full power and had somekind of few milisecond lag from when pressing the accelerator pedal till it actually started to accelerate.
But yesterday decided to do a really long trip and it after few hundred miles my car went in to limp mode on motorway- was juddering/problems accelerating over certain speed all the rest of the trip which sucked soo bad
Found one video which have the same exact problem as I had here:
youtube.com/watch?v=Kg0GNjuITnM
Decided to plug it to obd scanner and check the error codes and it reported the following codes,
p1259 -VTEC System Malfunction
P0171 - Fuel Injection System Too Lean Bank 1
and also today P0133 - O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Bank 1 (seems to be unreleated to this problem, just thought I would still list anyways)
Has anyone had such problems, or has any ideas what could be wrong?
For me it seems like the p1259 is at fault which matches the best my symptoms but not sure... I cleared all the codes today and decided to drive it again to see which code comes up exactly when the problem starts but it never came back now, however it still lacks the Power.
Thanks so much if anyone has got any ideas!

There are a number of things you have to look into. You have to check the fuel pressure. If its too high replace the regulator if its too low replace the fuel pump. You must also check for vacuum leaks. PCV valve and hose. evap canister purge valve. Also check the throttle body, intake manifold, brake booster and hose and the air intake duct. Hope this helped you out.
