Timing chain install VTEC 2.4L 2005 CRV
Ok,
Sorry for the goof, was thinking about my other car issue (2001 BMW 740il).
The CRV is an '05, same question.
Just got the head re-worked (blown head gasket) and putting it back together. The timing chain is a little confusing, easy to set the crank on TDC but the dual cams have tension and don't want to line up.
Should I expect tension? I've got the marks (dual for each cam and single for the crank) aligned as best I can. Spark plugs should be out or does it matter?
Any process tips on re-install of the chain will be appreciated.
David

Need to verify if you actually have a 2001 or earlier with a B20 (timing belt) or a later model 2002+ with a K24 (timing chain). Assuming later model by the title, but some people aren't sure what exactly they have.
