My girlfriends 97 crv has these issues, the door locks worked great at first, now when using the key to lock/unlock the doors would only lock/unlock the drivers door. So to lock all of the doors you have to do it by pushing down on the locks. Also her brake light comes on randomly, and yes I've checked the fluid and e-brake. Somewhere else I've read that they fixed those same issues by replacing the "electronic modulator" what ever that is. I wouldn't think its the actuator because the driver's side still works. Any ideas on what could be the cause of all this?

It could just be a switch inside the driver's lock assembly.That's the switch that sends a signal to "BCM"(body control module) to command the opening of all doors.You can get it separately.

Have you checked to see if all the brake lights are working properly. Some crv have the third brake light which some people may never think to check to see if it is working.
