Default TwoSevenFive's 98 CR-V

Here is my 1998 CR-V. This actually was my frist car, got it when I was 16. I was the first to drive, so I needed something I could haul people, skateboards, and filming equipment in.

Throughout the years it's been loaned out to various family members and stored for a bit. It became my daily again about 2 1/2 years ago, and was in OK shape. But a quick lived winter in Minnesota but a hurt on it, along with the age and come to find out poor maintenance during the times out of my care. It got out of hand with repairs so I got my RSX for a daily in January, and am now starting to tear into my CR-V.

Mechanically it's got some work to do. AC compressor went out last spring, it exploded inside, replaced it but it seems there was still some metal peices in the lines and the replacement started going out. Right after the AC went out, the driver's side window stopped working. The motor or reg is dead. That along with some brake work and general overal maintence is some of the repair work.

I'm doing this slowly, just things here and there. I've always wanted to do something with my CR-V and it just works out able to now.

Some photos and history:

Never finished that. When I had my WRX, I was going to turbo it, but I didn't finish it when I closed my shop facility in 2003.

When first got those wheel for it and were gunmetal. Sitting in the shop.

This week (5/26/10)
Prepped VC

Quick paint job on the valve cover, the oem black had come off in several spots and just wanted it to look better. Painted whole thing, then took a dremel to the Honda Motor Co. tops.

Took the wheels I had on it years ago out of storage and painted the centers black instead of the gunmetal they were. I don't know what kind they are honestly, traded a sohc DC header for them.

Going to be giving these a shot soon to see how well they work and hold up

It with the rest of our cars

I've got some other plans over the summer and winter for it.

Hoping to get them on this coming weekend. Just been swamped with work and school work the past month.
