Default How Do You Properly Remove the Driveshaft on the CRV

I need to swap out a trans and was wondering how exactly do you remove the drive shaft on my '01 Crv

From where at? Im not familiar with driveshafts. How many bolts should I be looking for and where will they be? Are they the 4 bolt heads that have several groves in them?

Yes, there's 4 bolts. The ones right in front of the U-joint...

when i had to replace my trans 7,000mi ago all i did for the driveshaft was unbolt the 4 bolts on the transfer case/center diff. and let it hang down.

do you know what size those 4 bolts are?
hondaautomotiveparts.com says "(12POINT 8X21)"

I tried a 10mm and 11 mm. 11 was too big and 10 too small it seems.

It should be a 10mm or 12mm. Unless they've been changed by a previous owner/shop (doubtful).

Uh, not to be offensive, but are you really prepared to swap a transmission? Unbolting the driveshaft is one of the simplest steps...

they should be 12 point 10mm.
