I ordered the OME kit 6 weeks ago and still have not heard anything about it from them. I am highly considering going the coilover route. Anyone else went that route yet?

just give it time. they say about 3 months on the site, well worth the wait though. they make them in australia to order and OME sells them.

They told me 3-4 weeks when I ordered them and after I emailed them after 4 weeks, they have not responded to any emails.

In my opinion, they are one of the worst companies that I have ever purchased anything from.

hi fellow crv owners. i'm new to the board and am looking into either lifting or just getting some bigger tires for for my 2000 5sp AWD v. i use it for mt. bike shuttling on logging roads in the pacific northwest. not looking for anything extreme, just a bit more clearence and traction. i am finding all this info useful but would love to get some more feedback from people who have either lifted or put bigger tires or both on theirs....i.e. how is handling affected either negatively or positively? how is gas mileage affected? do you notice a lack of power when taking off from a standstill? and anything else you can think of would be appreciated. thanks in advance.....

will post pics once i get things going.

Test Fit the Wheels on her CR-V Today. Definitely miss Judge the Backspacing (Hits the Brake Caliper) but i'll get them to Work w/ some 15MM Spacers&Extened'd Studs, No Biggie. Vehicle is still at Factory Height. Rubbing doesn't seem bad, just need to do some Trimming&Grind down the Factory Weld Seem inside the Fender Well.

Specs:
10MM Novus Tech Canada
Goodyear Wangler DuraTrac 235-75/15
Pro Comp 52 Series 15x7 4 1/2 BackSpacing

OME 2" Coil Springs are still in Route from Australia, should be here Mid Jan. Tokico HP Series Shocks finally came in last week. On to the Pictures.

What do you mean its the Rear i'll need to worry about? Fronts you would need to check for Brake Caliper+Steering Clearance issues. Rears are drum no real issue at all.

im talking about clearence with the body and plastics.as soon as you have any suspension travel those tires are gonna tear your plastic to shreds. the wheel well is smaller in the rear and typically the suspension sags a little. juist sayin.

Here you go&these are Wide Tread 29" Tires, her Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac have a Narrow Tread Pattern which Helps from any Type of Rubbage. Should have a Total of 2 1/2" Lift in the Rear&2" in the Front after everything is Done (Coil Springs+Custom CNC Metal Strut Spacers) 3" is the Max you can do for a 1st Gen CR-V otherwise you'll run into CV Joint issues. I did my Research Prior to Buy'n.

NOTE: My V has BDS 1.5"F/2.0"R lift springs. Results will vary for various ride heights.

One more inch of ride height, and I think I'd be rub-free, unless I really try.

Figure 1: As she stands now.

Figure 2: Rear tire.

Figure 3: Closeup of the cut-out portion. Also, stock sideskirts removed. I need to trim these further still. I'll narrow out the angle to allow more room.

Figure 4: Front tire.

Figure 5: Closeup of cut-out portion. Inner wheel well was pushed forward 1" or so and reattached to bottom of bumper with clips.

Figure 6: Full-lock right turn. White blob is the weld seam mashed down, and the tire is just able to touch it.

Figure 7: Full-lock left turn. Tire is just able to touch the inner wheel well.

Hey guys- what shocks are y'all with lifts running?
My Ironman lift is on, with the KYB G-Excels (same as the GR2-new name) and I only have 1/4" of droop in the rear!!
YES- ONE QUARTER of an inch!! Is there a longer shock available? The ride is terrible, as youo can imagine. I have 2 full inches of droop in the fronts...What the HECK?!

I recieved my Ironman springs today. Went to put them on and the spring compressors I have wouldnt work with the springs, So I have to go get a new spring compressor later this week. So I will have them on next sunday/monday. But I did get one on completly before I realized that I couldnt get the spring compressors out after the were installed.

What do you mean by droop?

the cheapest way is to make risers for the factory shocks.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

a 2" square tubing fits in the rear lca and then weld tabs on to bolt your shock back to. tack weld the new riser to lca and then drill a hole and put the factory bolt back in.

i have been running these for 6 months and had zero issues. they can be made in all different sizes. and you can keep your oem ride comfort.

i am running tein ss coilovers for an integra type r

the front can be made with two sections of pipe. get one that fits over the bottom of the shock and weld a smaller diameter pipe inside that fits in side the front fork.

if you or your buddy have a welder this can be done in a few hours and cost less than 20 bux and you can raise as high as you like
