Default civic wagon to crv?

right now i drive a b20 swapped civic wagon but we need something a little bigger for the fam so im looking at first gen crv. im just wondering will i regret getting rid of the wagon? im assuming the crv will feel like it has less power because its probably heavyer? and if i do get a crv its gona be a 5 speed even though there kinda hard to find. and awd should be a plus. im basicly just looking for some input to assure me into getting a crv thanks.

A CRV is basically a EK Civic wagon, that sits a little higher. If you like your ef wagon, your gonna love the CRV.

do the 5 speed awd crv's feel like they have decent power? thats the main thing that concerns me id like to get it and drive it and not worry about swaping it or boosting it.

Like most Civics of this vintage, there is decent throttle response, but power/torque sucks.

Very good cars though, and I think you may like it better than your wagon

just be sure to get a 5spd. the 5spd has really short gear ratio's so it makes it feel like it has more power than it really does lol. honestly, you probably wouldnt notice much of a power difference from your wagon to the crv....there really isnt a whole lot of weight difference between the two. maybe like 300lbs at the most (like having a passenger or two in your wagon)

I owned 2 civic wagons prior to owning my 2000 5 speed AWD CRV. I loved my wagons but needed something a bit bigger and safer for family. The CRV was a logical choice and although maybe not quite as peppy as the wagons it still scoots nicely. I think you will adjust, especially if you can find a 5 speed.
Some day I may pick up another wagon as a project car but no regrets with my V....
