Icon6 99 CRV misfire

I have a 99 CRV and the check engine light just went on. I recently to a thread asking for help because the car needed to be warmed up for at least 15mins before i can drive it without turning off. Before i was able to use any of the advice given to me the check engine light went on.

I checked the codes

P0303 73 Misfire Cyl. 3 Or Random Misfire
P0304 74 Misfire Cyl. 4 Or Random Misfire
and another one about multiple misfires

i have changed the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, as well as wires.

Is there anything else that can cause the misfire?

i also hear a rattle inside the distributor, is this normal?

the man before me said it... check your valve clearance. the b20 motors are known to have tight valves and will eventually ruin the valve seats. hopefully you did not get to that point. so try adjusting the valves. if that doesn't fix it, then do a compression check to make sure the valves / valve seats are damaged.

Fuel injectors will also cause a misfire if it's not working properly.

As already said.... Check the valve clearance and then check injectors.

2 cylinder misfires and a p0300 sounds like a fuel issue. And since you say it needs to get hot before it staying on. This leads me to believe you or the wify might have put some bad gas in the tank.

This happens more often than you would think in our shop.
