98 Honda CRV AWD Transmission Issues. Help
Hello. My transmission was rebuild over a year ago, just recently the trans started to slip and not get into any gears, felt like it was in neutral..I changed the fluid, removed the shift solenoid ,cleaned it,put it back and the car ran fine, til it started slipping again. I also get a whining non stop noise coming from the transmission..any suggestions guys or should i start looking for another transmission? Thanks

i used the honda atf with lucas, ill try to do another atf change..the car drove fine the day the trans started to slip so there was never any hint on the slippage previously..its like 1 second it was good than everything went downhill..

never mix any other fluid on your tranny.. its still "foreign" oil compared to atf-z1/dw1..
hopefully it could be fixed otherwise youll have to see your tranny specialist again!
just search the drain and fill method online, youll have to get 6 or more quarts of atf in
order to do this... i bought a LOT when i was fixing my tranny then... LOL!
good luck!
btw, check again solenoids (plugs,wire,filter..etc)

who rebuilt it??? was there any warranty?
if it was done right you shouldnt have any problems right now...
sounds like the linings are gone.....
to be honest...i dont think drain and fill would solve your problem

actually the non oem atf could be stuck on the torque converter... thats why at times it
may run good and would act up..visit your tranny builder so they could diagnose it again
for you.. make a deal w/ them since youve already used their service and your a returning
customer, they should take care of you! id suggest purging the whole tranny again and
use oem atf then observe it afterwards... hopefully it should do the work, if not the tranny
might need another check/rebuild...

Sounds like same issue I just had with my CRV..I thought it was the clutch..but ended up being the clutch master cylinder.
You could try that or the slave cylinder.
Good lucC bro..hope you get it figured out!
