08' CRV AC issues after replacing compressor
hi guys..
i just swaped my old crv 2008 ac compressor due to the bad clutch issues a lt of people are having.
heres the deal, just got it replaced on Friday, and on my first 60 miles trip (1 hour drive) my ac started sputtering back and forth (cycling, making a strong CLIC and moving the motor up and down every 1 secound) if i turn it off for a few minutes, and turn it on, it will work again like brand new
drive a few more miles and the same thing happens again. rpms drop very low if im on a a stop and go traffic light. warm air starts blowing up. turn it off again for 5 minutes, and turn it on again, it will work for a few more miles. Ive noticed the issue gets worse when the ambient temperature starts rising during the day. if its night it last waay longer before the compressor starts cycling on an off every secound.
any ideas? thanks
PS. ive noticed my AC is draining a lot of more water than it used to before when my original compressor was on.

Re: 08' CRV AC issues after replacing compressor
i believe the correct answer is Maybe.
Who replaced the compressor?
what else was done when the compressor was changed?
was the receiver/dryer replaced as well? those should be replaced whenever you open your AC system to outside air. was the correct amount of PAG oil added to the system per the parts replaced?
by the way your questions are worded I don't think you did the work yourself which is fine and I would suggest taking it to a shop that specialized in AC repair and give them the rundown of everything done to it so they can diagnose and resolve the problem for you.
