I have an unusual circumstance that I don't think is correct. Whenever I depress the brake pedal, the instrument cluster backlighting illuminates, and the gear indicator dims. If the driver's door is opened, the "lights left on" alarm sounds. This occurs whether the engine is running or not. I'm wondering if there is a wiring short in the harness somewhere, or if there is a simpler problem and "fix." Can anybody provide suggestions?
