Default ZC recommended oil

I put 20w50 in my dohc ZC motor to help stop some of the blowby I was getting. Is this alittle to thick. I just dont wanna have trouble starting the car.

What oil is recommended for the ZC cause they tend to burn oil alot?

Here's a question kinda related to this, might as well keep it in the same thread...

Does putting a higher viscosity oil in your engine affect the VTEC activation? Take for example the new i-VTECs are supposed to be running 5W20 oil, that's like water. So does a VTEC motor need 5W30 as is recommended, or can 10W40 or 10W30 be used and make no significant impact on the performance of the engine?

it can be used, but the thinner oil makes the engine not work as hard and gives you better mpg as well so im told on that aspect...
