windshield removal.....
my windshield is cracked all to hell. have any of you guys ever removed a windshield from a hatchback?? is so please give me the removal steps. thanks alot.

Pull off the black seal around the window.
Get a piece of strong yet flexible wire.
Push the wire through the urethane from the inside of the car to the outside.
Pull the wire along the edge of the glass to cut the urethane.
Pull windshield out in 1 piece.
Dustin, who has done this too many times..

what kind (type, gauge, etc.) of wire do you suggest? I gave up on the windshield after breaking many pieces of wire...

Try piano or guitar wire. I believe some company makes a special tool just for getting windows out, but its possible without it. Use black window silicone from the local auto store to put the window back in. Good luck.
