yeah theyll do it but the offer ABSOLUTELY no warranty, a lot of places are like that though, your paint could be better qulaity but they just say no warranty. Why not just spray it yourself then?

Rent a booth and a gun and youre good to go and you know itll be done good.

spraying will take no time. do you know someone that's a body man/woman? i'm sure you can find a place where you can spray your car - i've looked it up before here in Edmonton and we're not that big of a city.

I some cities they have booths you can rent to spray your car. The other thing you have to buy is paint. Depending on how much you want to send. You also need equipment gun, compessor, etc. It would get pricy. I'd say shop around see if you have a friend of a friend that could do it.

In direct answer to your question; here in California they will NOT use any paint material other than what they have. Add to that what EF pimp said, they wouldn't give you any warranty. Even a normal body shop wouldn't want to warranty the work if they are spraying over the prep work you have done (like primper work). I don't totally agree with the policy, but I can understand where it comes from.

Now for my two cents;

How old are you and is working on cars something that you think you will enjoy for years to come. The reason that I ask is that I'm 51 (oh my god!) and have worked on cars most of my life (as a hobby). As a result, it's been worth it for me to buy what ever tools I've needed.

If you think this is the only car that you are going to build, then just pay a body shop to do it.

If you think it's something that you may do again, then spend the time and money to learn how to do it.

Renting a spray booth is a good idea, but I'd recommend that you buy your own gun. Spraying paint is all about "feel"!
