Default Wheres my honda transmission filter.

I have a 90 model honda civic dx auto and I am trying to change my transmission fluid and filter. I found the transmission oil bolt on the rightside but I have no idea where the filter is located.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh

There is no filter. Change the fluid every 24XXXkms like I did and it will always run mint. Real honda recommendation is 48XXXkms, double what I gave it.

my reason for wanting to change the fluid was because of a hard kick when i quickly accelerate. It feels like it thumps when it switches into a higher gear really quickly.

I had heard that the filter doesnt exists but I was able to pick up a small 2 inch by 4 inch filter at my autoparts that was specified for my car on the box.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks for everthing,
Josh

The filter or "strainer" is not serviceable without opening up the whole trans

IE: No filter . You have to rip that ***** apart, and it's not worth it. Just keep changing the fluid, it will be fine.
