weight difference between b16 and d16a6...

Default weight difference between b16 and d16a6...

searched and didn't find what i was lookin for...but does anyone know the EXACT weight difference of the d16a6 and the b16 with a cable tranny? i heard its about 85 lbs more w/ the vtec. also, is there any weight difference between the hydro and cable trannys?

in reality the weight isnt that big of a difference. both engines have the same displacement. the b16 is just a little bit beefier. youll get all kinds of answers for the actuall difference though

not to sound like an ***...but seriously, displacment doesn't mean a thing when comparing these two motors:

1) DOHC vs SOHC
2) VTEC vs NON VTEC

those two factors make a considerable difference alone. Now...i'm sure someone knows, anyone know the exact weight difference between a stock crx and a swapped b16 crx

Its pretty damn close to 100lbs heavier. But the K series is about the same weight as the D...

damn....i wish i could find someone who weighed before the swap, or after the swap. or @ least a resource that has the exact weights of the d series motor/tranny and the b series motor/tranny. its a lot easier to find those specs on the ls1...but not on honda motors

K series the same weight as a D???
Maybe the eng alone the same as complete D16A6 drivetrain!!!
