Default Steering wheel shaking a lot when braking at high speeds

Just like the title says. A lot of shaking when braking. The shaking isn't as bad when downshifting and braking but there's still something wrong. Any help would be great

While down shifting...

-Wheel bearing could be out, causing uneven decelleration
-Alignment could be off.

While braking...

-Rotors are warped
-Brake pads are worn down unevenly.

Start with your rotors, they are likely warped.

the obvious answer is your rotors are in need of replacement.

however, the REAL problem is a lot of play in your steering and suspension is amplifying the "warpage" in your rotors. to fix the PROBLEM, you need to fix the steering first.

most likely your rack end bushing is shot. not only that, but your tie rod and balljoints could be in need to replacement too.

once you fix your steering, you should replace your rotors. replacing only your rotors now will cause your new rotors to "warp" very quickly.

the steering wheel should not shake, even with "warped" rotors. the shake and looseness and clunking in your steering needs to be addressed.

^^ yup.. very good info here ! Rotors "warp" because of either loose/shot suspension components or over heating the rotors at teh track, (or cheap made in China rotors) LoL
