Spanner wrench for coilovers
My CRX came with a coilover suspension, but no spanner wrench. I have used koni shocks and eibach springs rather than coilovers before, so I'm not too familiar with them. Will just about any spanner wrench serve to adjust the height on these things? The car is far to low to the ground for street driving and needs to be raised a scoatch to be more liveable. Also, the spring rates are way to harsh for street driving. Can't wait to see what she can do at auto-x, if I survive the drive there.

My friend's hatch didn't have spanner wrenches for his sleeve coilovers, this was long long ago (I have full coilovers on 3 of my cars now haha) and I didn't have any either. We put a flat head screwdriver in one of the notches on the side of it and just hit it with a hammer to unlock the two rings. Once it's loose you can just adjust them to whatever height you want. Then put the rings back together and try to lock them real tight, I don't remember if we used a hammer to tighten them or not. Either way make sure they're good and tight. Allthough I'd imagine that any spanner wrench will work I don't know for sure.

Re: Spanner wrench for coilovers (Bob_760)
i got some cheapo coilovers waaaay back when, and 1 of the aluminum (or some flimsy ****) wrenches broke when i tried adjusting them after 1 winter of driving - seized.
so i took the other one and had a friend use it as a template to make a set out of steel.
i would recommend this to anyone who uses these coilovers and has bad winters.
that car is long since gone, but i'm pretty sure i still have the 2 steel spanner wrenches! they are even painted and the handle end was dipped in plastikote LOL....
PM me if you want them?
ok sorry for the plug. just trying to help
