SOHC-V into 1st gen crx
A frind of mine has a 1st gen crx and wants to put a sohc vtec in it. Does anyone have any info and how to do this swap. Im looking for info as to mounts, wiring, and if i can use the stock cable tranny.

The stock tranny doesn't bolt up to any 88+ civic/crx blocks and all the engine/tranny mounts on a 1gCX/3gCivic are different, so they all have to be custom made. Ditto the wiring. It's been done once or twice but swapping an 88+ d-series drivetrain into an 84-87 civic/crx is a real PITA! A b-series swap would be easier since you can buy Hasport mounts for it.
