setting up d16a6 turbo on my crx
hey everyone just asking for some suggestions that may help me for my 14b single cam turbo anyone know if my stock camshaft can withstand turbo better than a bullfrog cam?? should i just stick to stock or use the bullfrog camshaft??

Before you start working on the head, you should build the block first. As for the cam, i use the stock cam and im satisfied.

Leave the stock cam in there and get a nice headgasket and some arp headstuds. SOHC d16's are notorious for headlifitng under boost.

Leave the stock cam in there and get a nice headgasket and some arp headstuds. SOHC d16's are notorious for headlifitng under boost.

yeah mine lifted earlier this month. when i took it off i bought arp headstuds and got a a z6 headgasket and havent had any problems since.

Dont mean to thread jack but this is probably useful info.
I got a pretty racey cam in my car right now Advertised Duration of 272 for intake and exhaust and 425 lift. What makes a cam not a turbo cam? I plan on keepin this cam when i boost.

i think i'm just going to run an FMU but i'm willing to take some suggestions....i know of a guy that builds pretty good sohc turbo setups but i like to have more than one opinion he's gonna help me set up the car

Steer clear of the FMU and look into something like turboedit or zdyne.
