Removing evaporator, will heat still work?

yes....i think so anyway. this is the part inside the car, under the glove compartment right? if so, i believe it's in a big plastic housing, and you have to take that apart, remove the evaporator, and duct tape it back together, and reinstall...everything should be cool (or warm). there's a writeup on it somewhere in here or ef-honda.com.

As long as the heater core is in place and flowing, the duct work is sealed
and the fan blows,it should..

My car is stuck on vent. I replaced the heater blower motor but it's still on vent. I do not have AC. All the AC related items have been removed. What controls the vent? My heater resistor is busted, that I know for a fact. I'm currently trying to borrow a resistor from a friend to see if that is the problem.
