Question about ECU jumpers and getting bar'd in cali???
Hey i have a 1990 civic dx with a obd0 b16a running a pr3 that i want to get bar'd so i can do it the legal way. Now my question for you guys is can i just use an obd0 - obd1 ecu jumper and run a usdm obd1 p30 and will that be bar legal? Or do i have to actually convert the whole harness? One last question, i have to have both O2 sensors connected correct because who ever did the swap only hooked up one but the other one is there and has the plug for it but no wire to the ecu?
I am just curious about how some of you guys have done it. The motor is a 1990 so i know that that part of it is legal but i am just trying to do it as cheaply as possible because funds are a little low.
I didnt personally do the motor swap but the harness is clean with the only cut in it being the reverse light switch because the switch is broken but the vtec is wired nicely with all the factory vtec plugs.
Thanks for the help!!!

In order to bar your car/motor set up, you will need the following:
-US obd1 b16 intake manifold
-B-series DOHC VTec Distributor
-OBD1 VTec ECU
-OBD0-OBD1 Jumper Harness
-4-wire o2 sensor
Here it is more detailed...
-'92-95 Del Sol Dohc VTec intake manifold (OR a CARB legal Skunk2 manifold for a del sol dohc vtec)
-obd0-obd1 jumper harness
-obd1 vtec ECU (I think any vtec ecu will work, but not sure) HAS TO BE FROM A US CAR, WILL NOT PASS WITH A JDM ECU!!!
-a 4-wire o2 sensor (normal honda obd1 o2 sensor), you also have to get a different header to accomodate the new o2 sensor, since the 4-wire ones read all 4 cylinders, the o2 sensor will need to be further down the header where all 4 pipes come together and make one
-You will also need a DOHC VTec distributor from a 92-95 del sol dohc VTec or a 94-95 integra GSR dohc vtec of course.
Good luck for someone else trying to state ref too!!

can the distributor be obd0 or does it have to be obd1 and if so can i just convert the plugs or does it not even matter.

Yup...what he said. Need the obd-1 dizzy. It's safer to just buy an obd1 dizzy from somewhere...don't try to rig your obd0 one to work...good luck

well if i use a jumper harness i will still have the obd0 (white plug) harness in the engine compartment correct? So does the obd1 dizzy connect to that or will i have to get obd1 (grey) plugs for the engine harness and wire them in? Or do is there another way, i am a little confused obviously.
