overheating? (already searched)
sup guys...i need advice.
i have a 90 Si hatch, stock d16a motor. The majority of the time my car runs fine, idles fine, temps right at below 1/2. Fan does come on. Sometimes when i gun it...the temp rises almost to H, then just goes back down after a while. When i drive regularly it's fine. The car can sit in idle for a long time and the temp doesnt rise at all....someone told me it could be my cluster malfunctioning. Just to be on the safe side, what else can i check? Could it be somthing as simple as my radiator cap? When I shut the car off and pop the hood, theres no water bubbling or anything.... im lost!

If the fans coming on and both hoses are hot I'd replace the radiator cap (it's an outside chance but it's possible) then I'd take a look at my radiator... it could just be too clogged to work well when being pushed.
