Default no spark after replacing cracked dizzy cap

ok i have already done the park test and all came with weak spark. car sputters and blips but thats it. i took the dizzy off the car when i switched it because it was dark and i wanted to look over the rest of the dizzy. my main question before i get a new ignition coil is if i accidently turned the little thing that goes into the block half a rotation would that make my dizzy timing 180 deg out? and could this cause my weak spark? if not i guess i will have to spend the money.

It's not possible to install an OEM distributor 180-degrees out of phase. Or do you have an aftermarket distributor?

no i was saying that a non vtec dizzy is 180 out of what you need for a vtec. and in my laps of thinking i thought maybe turning the end of my vtec dizzy 180 that maybe it was out 180. but now that i actually think i realize that its internal that the dizzy is 180 different. i was just curious to see if i could save my self a few $ from rebuilding my dizzy but now it seems like no other option ha.

If this^ is true, I just learned something new. I knew that there were incompatibilities for VTEC and non-VTEC, but I didn't know the specific reason.

Can somebody verify?

The non-vtec and vtec dizzys are the same minus how the mount to the head. You would have to force it and it would be very hard to get it to go in 180 degrees out.

Cant you just take off the rotor on the back of dizzy that goes into the head, slide the pin out flip the rotor 180 an reinstall. I had to do that on my 91 accord cause I didn't put it on the same way I took it off.... My car had spark but since it was 180 off it would spark on the exhaust side instead of the intake side stopping the pistons from going all the way to top an WOULD not allow the car to start.

ok well i found a 94 civic for parts. it gets spark and no fuel. and its rusted pretty bad in the 1/4s but i figure if i paying 75 for an ignition coil i might as well spend a little more and just get another whole car ha just adding to my little junkyard.... but anyways anyone have an opinion of if i need to do anything to the dizzy other than not having one of the bolts fit on my engine. (the car has a d15b7 in it so its the non vtec dizzy)
