Do you need a resistor box for the swap? And if not, go double check all of you wiring for the injectors, from the ECU to the injector clips. Make sure all connections are perfect, check for grounding out. Sorry I can't be much more help.

im using the obd1 injectors so i dont need a resistor box right...i've triple checked everything this car is driving me nuts almost like whatever triggers the computer to fire the injectors isnt working.for the second it does run it sounds perfect but i have to turn the key off and back on again for it to fire again

I'm not an expert, but why didn't you just do the standard mpfi obd0 swap and then use an obd1 jumper harness? I do understand funding and cost effectiveness is a major issue at times.

an obd0 ecu will run a obd1 motor i did it for 2yrs using dpi on the same motor....its a problem with the crank angle sensor being in the wrong place inside the distributor.i made the car run by swapping the crank sensor wires with the cylinder positiioning sensor because they are in different positions inside the distributor and it runs except i have the 3500 rpm limit because of the crank sensor code 4 and the timing is a lil retarded but i can drive it and it still has more torque than before....now all i need is a obd0 mpfi distributor like a hf or si.......

well finally the end to this thread....i went obd1 because it was actually easier to find a p28 ecu than a obd0 distributor for me...car runs excellant and hauls ***....only bad part was i was too cheap to buy the obd1 conversion harness so i wired in the ecu plugs myself using a chilton manual....wow i hate wiring now-if u do a swap like this do yourself a favor-buy the friggin harness!!!!!
