sooo, got my AC delete OEM box thingo so I can still run the heater for winter. With it all bolted up, seems to be a few gaps around where it meets the blower and heater either side.. I might wrap it with some duct tape just in case?
Also got a personal box sticker from a mate, just to add that lil touch to the car.. Not fussed it's not genuine haha

The EK throttle cable I bought turns out to be too short.. Maybe they are different lengths between the SOHC and DOHC EK's? Anyone had experience with these, because everyone says they are meant to work lol..

Annnnnnd heres how she looks atm, got the front bar and all back on. Few things left to go into the engine bay

Yesterday I went about removing the sound deadening, bought 3kg of dry ice (5kg would of been better) and chucked it in the drivers/passengers side. Left it for 10 minutes and then started the hammering. I put all the broken sound deadening in a bag, still yet to weigh it. In the 3rd pic you'll see how it looks with it all cleaned up, wasn't bothered to get rid of the little bits.. Took few hours and I was getting ceebs with it..

Picked up a mint carpet from a EF3, finally no more peasant, cut carpet :D

Ordered a cat, resonator and muffler, all 2.5" . Cat turned up nice and quick!
~100cel 2.5" meow meow

Today I decided to pull out the steering rack to gut it, converting it to a "manual" styled rack. Here's a pic also of pumping heavy duty grease into it!

Hows this also for header clearance on the OEM front cross member, yeah baby!

No traction bar? Did you at least upgrade the bushings?

How do you like the Ultra Racing products?

I haven't put my AC box delete in yet, but i know they run foam around the insides of it from factory, if yours has that foam pealed off then there will be gaps. Just go to clark rubber and get some closed cell stuff that's 10mm wide and high enough to fill the gaps.

Let me know how you go with it, i haven't bought mine yet!

Yeah no traction bar... yet.. I'm waiting for a second hand one to come up for a good price, brand new is too much. And yes I have near new hardrace bushings in

I defs recommend the Ultra Racing products, good price and seem sturdy. I also have the frony strut brace and resr lower tie bar

Yeah the foam has gone.. i think ill have to do that, might try searching to see how thick it was from factory. Cheers for the advice!

Continuing on the de-powering the steering rack.. Heres a pic of all the parts I gutted from the port housing, also the piston I cut off the rack. Followed by greasing everything up

Also got the rest of the sound deadening out in the boot, just used a chisel and hammer. Came off rather easily, few scratches into the paint, might spray some fish oil over so it doesn't eventually rust

Annnnnnnd my resonator and muffler turned up today woo! Got the day off so I'll go buy some 2.5" straight piping and some 90 degrees bends, enjoy!

I hope they gave measurements because sometimes they don't stipulate any difference between ED and EF, as in they reckon it suits both D and B EF's.

What one did you go with?

So last night I purchased another ED civic for only $100! Got written off in a small front ender, but I want to take a few spares from it, and also the complete cabin harness as on mine its been cut up at the doors and rear, from when I was going to adapt the DA9 cabin harness in. Only problem is, which I didn't realise, this ED has manual mirrors... ugh

Yeah it got written off.. as you saw on HH parting it out to members, hopefully they dont expect everything to be free lol, only want little bit back to cover $80 for towing lol

Just wanna get the cabin harness out and into my car. Then look into wiring in power windows...
