Default JDM CRX Glass top install

Anyone know how difficult it would be to install the JDM glass top on a CRX? I have the opportunity to buy just the glass. I know some people buy a roof cut to to the conversion. Anyone have a clue how to install just the glass?

Pretty sure you will need the roof, otherwise youll have to fab up your own mounting, gaskets etc. Do it right or dont do it at all

hmm, why do you want a glass top? I bought a 89 crx sir from an auction in japan and only found out it had the glass roof when I bought it. No, it doesnt bother me too much, it looks kinda cool, however glass roofs make your car heat up alot and the glass roof itself can get so hot that you can burn yourself on it if you touch it. Luckily I will have Climate control =]

I havent got my car yet, its in storage in japan at the moment so I cant tell you first hand, however this is what I've been told from reliable sources.

It would be ok if you live in a state with relatively cold whether however isnt Houston quite hot?

Yes stian get the whole roof cut. not just the glass. You will make your job of doing the convertioin ten times easier by getting it all. Do it right the first time.
