How do you take off the front core support of an 88 ef sedan?

How do you take off the front core support of an 88 ef sedan?
I've done some searching but all I can find is, "Do I need a JDM front core support for the JDM front end?" and that's about it.
My front core support is slighty bent back due to a truck backing into my parked car. The hood is dented and the headlights are pushed back.
My friends say that the front core support is bolted on and the thing comes off by un-screwing some bolts.
But then again other people are telling me that I'm going to have to cut and weld.
What's the truth about the 88-89 ef sedan front core supports?

4 10mm bolts, 2 on passenger side and 2 on driverside.
Remove the bumper lenses and you can see the bolts and access them from there, using an extension. The bolts are vertical and you cant miss them.
Then unscrew the 2 screws on the far edges of the bumpers in the wheel well.

yup, core=welding
if it was a bolt in thing, the frontend would get tweaked too easily by everything, even engine vibration
hence the welding
If its bent, make sure to grab a tape measure and compare both frame rails against each other
Make sure ONLY the core support was bent.

Is the core support bent or is it the T bracket between the headlights that is bent?
If just the T bracket then it unbolts but if it is the core support then you have welding to do.
