HELP!!! problem with starter turning but not starting my car
ok my crx has been sitting for about a month now, because of the winter season. i go out today to move it and the starter turns the engine over fine once. the next time to go to start it i can hear the starter turning but it is not turning the engine over, it just sounds like the starter is running but the gears arnt catching. is it possible for the starter teeth to grind off?

i doubt the teath are ground off however anything is possible with the winters up there ... hopefully there not ground off the flywheel... it most likeley is the shaft on the starter stuck and spinning but not moving out to grab the flywheel... pull it and check the teeth

Check your 'overrunning clutch' in your starter, part 5:
Part is pricey..I'll suggest pick n pull for a new starter..
